Oil on canvas, 2017, 36" x 48" This piece is a study on movement and masking, inspired by Franz Marc's twilight horses series. Also an homage to the artist's strong ties to Ironworker industry. Her father, grandfather, uncles, aunt, brother and husband have all worked in this industry. Knowing the dangers and the rewards, this is to honor them all, Indigenous heroes who helped build the skylines of great cities, and bridges connecting the communities across this continent. Exhibitions include: Iroquois Museum at Howe Caverns-Ironworker festival(2017), Akwesasne Cultural Museum(2018)
