Star Child
As the evening comes down, the shadows and stars appear. The vast beauty covers us in protection. Every Native nation carry stories of the stars and constellations to guide, teach and impart wisdom. Specifically with this painting, the Lakota have a Bison constellation which consists of Orion's Belt, Pleiades, Rigel, Sirius and Betelgeuse. Most notably, Orion's Belt is the spine of the Bison, Pleiades is the head and Sirius is the tail.
